Can I walk in the Half Marathon/10KM+
Yes, walking is permitted in the half marathon/10KM. Please be aware of cut of times. The road closures are only in place until 10am.
Which 5KM event should I enter if I plan to run and walk?+
The 5KM Run event.
Are the courses certified?+
Yes, all Ipswich Hospital Foundation Park2Park courses are certified by IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) and AA (Athletics Australia).
Entry & Registration - Where can I collect my race kit?+
Saturday 28th July 2018 from 1:00pm-3:00pm, Bill Paterson Oval, Limestone Park at the registration area.
Sunday 29th July 2018 from 6:00am, Bill Paterson Oval, Limestone Park at the registration area.
Can I have my race kit posted to me?+
No, race kits can only be collected from the registration centre, Bill Paterson Oval, Limestone Park.
What do I need to collect my race kit?+
You are required to bring along with you, your e-ticket which you would have received via email upon registering.
Can I collect race kits for other participants?+
Yes, however you will require a copy of their e-ticket to be able to collect on their behalf
Can I change events?+
Yes: Before 5:00pm Friday 27th July 2018 – changing events can be done by emailing the event manager – email@example.com (changes will not be made unless you get a reply email to confirm the change has been made)
After 5:00pm Friday 27th July 2018 – changing events after this date can only be done by visiting the registration area on Saturday 28th July 2018 1:00-3:00pm or Sunday 29th July 2018 from 6:00am. A fee difference will be required if changing to a higher event. No refunds will be given for changing to a lower fee event, the difference will be kept as an administration fee.
If I cannot participate, am I able to transfer my entry to another person?+
Yes: Before 5:00pm Friday 27th July 2018 – transferring your registration can be done by emailing the event manager – firstname.lastname@example.org (changes have not been made unless you get a reply email to confirm the change has been made).
Can I get a refund if I cannot participate and cannot find anyone else to +
transfer my entry to?
Refunds (minus a $15.00 administration fee) will be given up until 5:00pm Monday 16th July 2018 and must be received in writing to the event manager email@example.com Refunds will not be issued after this date under any circumstances.
Do I have to register my baby/small child who will be in a pram?+
You do not have to register any small children who will be pushed in a pram but must register any children who will be running or walking in the event regardless of their age.
Event Day - Will there be aid/water stations along the course?+
Yes, the Ipswich Hospital Foundation Park2Park prides itself on providing water stations every 1KM in all events. The water stations are manned by local secondary schools. Only water will be provided at water stations. Water and fruit will be provided at the finish area.
Are there any toilets located along the course?+
Toilets are located along the Ipswich Hospital Foundation Park2Park course at the 2KM, 3KM & 4.5KM points. Toilets are also located in the carpark of the Bill Paterson Oval, behind the blue building at the carpark end of Bill Paterson Oval & next to the cricket pitch.
When will my results be available?+
Results will be available as soon as possible after the completion of the event. Stay tuned to this website for the results link.
Is there a baggage storage area?+
Clothing items/belongings (no valuables) can be left in the baggage area which is located in the Athletics Building at the car park end of the Bill Paterson Oval. To drop off your baggage be wearing your race bib as this will act as your identification. On collection of your baggage you will need to supply the attendant with your bib number..
Can I have someone ride along me while I run or walk?+
No, due to the narrowness of the course and the large numbers of participation, cyclists are not permitted.
Can I push my baby/small child in a pram whilst I am participating?+
Yes, prams are permitted in the 5KM Run and 5KM Walk events but must start at the back behind all other participants.
Can I run/walk with my dog?+
Yes, dogs are only permitted in the 5KM Walk event and must start at the back behind all other participants. Individuals will be responsible for picking up all mess made by your dog. Drinking bowls are available at all Ipswich Hospital Foundation Park2Park Water Stations.
